Topic: Cyber security - Knowing the unknown
High-profile cases of organisations coming under cyber-attack are more and more common. In the last year a number of attacks have taken place that resulted in millions of customer records, confidential business and deals strategy information stolen, and service outages has dramatically increased in more than five times.
This is a serious challenge for businesses that increasingly seek to operate and engage with their customers online and has highlighted the need to consider cyber security strategies in a constantly changing threat environment.
As we have seen, this affects all industries and businesses of all sizes. Even for those core business that are not reliant on IT or reliant on third parties, they could be the victim of a cyber-attack. It is not a question of whether you will be subject to a cyber attack but a question of when – no one is immune.
In this seminar, Kok Tin will look the latest cyber threat landscape, when a business experiences a cyber-attack, what some of the technical, financial and reputational impacts are as an attack unfolds, and what organisations can do to better protect themselves and mitigate such cyber risks. In addition, Kok Tin will conduct a “real-live” demonstration of what a cyber attack can look like and how it can impact organisations.
Speaker: GAN, Kok Tin, Partner of PwC, Vice-Chairman, ITSMf HK Chapter
